Special Note for 1.0.6 and Earlier Users

If you are having difficulties in getting Task Conqueror to launch, please be sure to install SQL CE 3.5 SP2. This was not officially made a prerequisite of the project until 1.0.7, but problems can be seen in launching earlier versions of the application when this is not installed. If you have questions about this, please contact Task Conqueror support at taskconqueror@harner.us.

Special Notes for 1.0.0 Users

Due to limitations of the installer technology used in version 1.0.0, data for users of that version will not be maintained when performing this upgrade. This will not be a problem in the future for users of version 1.0.1 or subsequent versions. If you would like to maintain data from version 1.0.0, please perform the steps below. If you have questions about these steps, please contact Task Conqueror support at taskconqueror@harner.us.

  1. Copy taskconqueror.sdf from the TaskConqueror folder under your Program Files directory (i.e. c:\program files or c:\program files (x86)) to a temporary location such as your desktop.
  2. Install the latest version of Task Conqueror.
  3. Copy taskconqueror.sdf to the TaskConqueror folder under your Application Data directory (i.e. C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data or c:\users\username\Application Data). Please note that this folder may be hidden, so you may need to enable display of hidden folders.
  4. Your data will be available upon the next launch of the Task Conqueror application.
